Sunlord came out of Japan in the late 1970s — one of those sharp, well-built dress watch labels that rode the quartz revolution at its peak and made seriously good-looking pieces before quietly disappearing in the late 1980s as the market consolidated around bigger names. They're gone now. Which means what's left is what's left, and this one is it.
Rectangular case with an octagonal-cut bezel trimmed in rope-and-ball detailing — full Art Deco architecture on a watch that fits under a cuff. Dial is a layered steel blue with horizontal texture bands running across the face, a diamond set at 12, and slim gold sword hands that move through the color like they belong there. The whole thing is gold-tone, including the wide expansion bracelet stamped SUNLORD on the clasp. No hiding what this is. It knows exactly what it is.
This is the kind of piece that stops people mid-sentence. Not because it's loud — because it's precise.
