1881, Tokyo. Seiko shows up and spends the next century making precision look effortless — and the King Quartz is one of the clearest examples of that era doing its thing. Launched in the mid-70s as a flagship quartz line, this is the kind of reference that serious collectors actually fight over.
That tropic dial is the whole conversation. Honey-amber patina spreading across the surface like it earned every year of it — no two age the same way, which means what you're looking at is genuinely unrepeatable. Pair that with the wide brick bracelet and the angular tonneau case and this thing just slaps on the wrist. Your mom would've kept it in a box and called it an heirloom. You're gonna wear it to the grocery store. Both are correct.
