The Brand History
Originally founded in 1864, Elgin National Watch Company was a powerhouse of American industrial manufacturing and horology for over a century. However, following the closure of its US factories in the late 1960s, the historic brand rights were sold and licensed globally.
By the 1980s, the rights for the Asian market were acquired by Japanese distributors, who revitalized the name as a stylish Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) brand. These pieces completely discarded old American styles to embrace the sleek, ultra-thin electronics boom of 1980s Tokyo. This one is newer mint condition
