Demir Prototype 001 – A Piece of Brand History

Before Studio Demir became what it is today, there was this: a Swiss-powered quartz movement housed in a custom one-of-one case with a striking lapis lazuli dial. This is Prototype 001 — an early experiment in case design and shape, and a tangible piece of the brand's evolution.

The octagonal case in polished stainless steel frames a deep blue lapis dial with natural stone variations and gold Roman numeral markers. The integrated bracelet flows seamlessly from case to wrist, creating that unified, architectural look that defined late-century luxury sport watches.

This prototype represents a design direction I explored but ultimately chose not to pursue for the full collection. It's a singular artifact from the early days of shaping what Demir would become — a snapshot of the creative process, preserved in steel and stone.

Special Note: This watch features a Swiss quartz movement in a custom one-of-one case. It is a prototype for my future brand as I work through case designs and shapes. This particular style will not be moving forward in the collection, making it a unique piece of Demir history as the brand takes shape.
