Roberto Capucci is an Italian haute couture fashion house founded in Rome in 1950 — a designer celebrated for sculptural, almost architectural garments that blurred the line between fashion and fine art. Like many European fashion brands of the era, Capucci extended into accessories and watches during the 70s and 80s, lending the name to platinum-plated timepieces that carried the same refined, continental sensibility as the runway work. The watch line has since faded out, but the Capucci fashion house itself lives on as a legacy institution in Italian design.
A 12oz Capucci with a splash of vanilla? Yeah, we can work with that energy — because this watch absolutely gives that. That soft grey-blue dial is the main event: cool, muted, sophisticated, with a ring of crystal accent stones sitting at each hour marker doing just enough to catch light without going full rhinestone pageant. It’s the kind of restraint that takes confidence to pull off. Chefs kiss is right.
The woven mesh bracelet is the other reason this one works. That fine herringbone construction drapes on the wrist like fabric, tapering perfectly into the tonneau case. Platinum plated, so the whole package reads silver-cool and consistent from lug to clasp. The push-button fold-over clasp is clean and secure — this style of bracelet doesn’t get enough credit in the neo-vintage world, and this one is a textbook example of why it should.
